LoomynTerms of Service
The terms that apply when your family uses Loomyn.
Effective October 18, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Loomyn. They cover the Loomyn website and app, the lesson catalog, the lessons Loomyn creates for you, and every feature described below. By creating an account or using Loomyn, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Loomyn.
“Loomyn,” “we,” and “us” mean the Loomyn service. “Parent” means a parent or guardian account. “Learner” means a student profile, whether it belongs to a teen or was set up by a parent. “You” means the person who holds the account and, for a parent, the learners that parent manages.
Who can use Loomyn
- You must be 13 or older to create your own Loomyn account. We ask for a birthday at sign-up to confirm this.
- Children under 13 may use Loomyn only through a learner profile that a parent creates and manages. The parent accepts these terms on the child's behalf and is responsible for the child's use of Loomyn.
- If you are 13 or older but under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must review and agree to these terms with you.
- Only an adult who can form a binding contract may purchase a paid plan.
Accounts and learner profiles
- Give us accurate information, including your email address and birthday, and keep it up to date. We may ask you to confirm your email address.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account, including activity in a learner's view after a parent switches into it. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account.
- Parents can add learners, set their grade level and interests, assign lessons to a learner's course, choose answer key and worksheet settings, review progress, and remove learners. Learners under 13 cannot edit their own profile or create lessons; those controls stay with the parent.
- Only add learners you are the parent or guardian of, or are otherwise authorized to supervise.
What Loomyn provides
Depending on your plan, Loomyn includes:
- The lesson catalog. Narrated, illustrated lessons for kindergarten through grade 12 across English, math, science, social studies, and computer science, including interactive steps, games, and comprehension checks.
- Custom lessons. On plans that include them, you can describe a topic, concept, trip, event, or book, or break a broad topic into a unit of several lessons, and Loomyn generates new lessons themed around a learner's grade and interests.
- Practice. Practice problems with instant feedback and hints.
- Voice features. A voice tutor learners can “raise their hand” to ask, and a read-aloud coach for early readers.
- Worksheets, activities, and books. Printable worksheets with optional answer keys, screen-free activities, and book suggestions that go with each lesson.
- Nearby events. If you add a ZIP code, suggestions for local events related to a lesson.
- Progress tracking. For parents, a view of what each learner has watched, how their practice went, and which activities and books they have checked off.
We are always improving Loomyn, so features, lessons in the catalog, and the way they work may change. We may add, change, or retire features, and we will try to give notice before removing something central to your plan.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Family plans. Loomyn is offered as monthly plans priced per family, not per learner. Every plan includes the full catalog, practice, the voice tutor, and progress tracking for all learners in your household. Plans differ in how many custom lessons you can create each month. Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing page.
- Household use. A plan covers the learners in one household. Do not share or resell a plan to people outside your household.
- Custom lesson allowance. Each newly generated lesson counts toward your plan's monthly allowance, including each lesson in a unit you create at once. A lesson that fails to generate does not count. Unused lessons do not roll over to the next month. We may also limit how many lessons can be queued at one time so lessons generate reliably for everyone.
- Automatic renewal. Paid plans renew automatically each month and are charged to your payment method at the start of each billing period until you cancel. Prices do not include taxes, which may be added where required.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and it will not renew after that. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law, but if you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review it.
- Changing plans. If you upgrade, the new allowance applies right away. If you downgrade, the change takes effect at your next billing period.
- Price changes. We may change plan prices. We will tell you in advance by email or in the app, and the new price applies from your next billing period after the notice. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may pause paid features until the payment method is updated.
AI-generated lessons
Loomyn uses artificial intelligence to write, illustrate, narrate, and check lessons, practice problems, worksheets, activities, and voice tutor answers. We review lessons and illustrations for accuracy and age-appropriateness, and our catalog is written to demanding academic standards. Even so, AI can make mistakes, and you should know that:
- Lessons, answers, answer keys, and tutor responses may sometimes be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Please let us know when you find a mistake.
- Loomyn is a learning aid. It is not an accredited school, and it does not replace a teacher's or parent's judgment.
- Loomyn does not guarantee any grade, test score, placement, or that it meets the homeschool, attendance, or curriculum requirements of your state or school. You are responsible for meeting any requirements that apply to you.
- Lessons are not medical, legal, financial, or safety advice. Parents should supervise any screen-free activity, especially those involving tools, cooking, outdoor exploration, or experiments.
Voice tutor and read-aloud coach
Voice features use the microphone only after a learner taps to start and the browser grants permission. Audio is processed by our speech provider to understand the learner and respond, as described in our Privacy Policy. The voice tutor is designed to stay on the lesson. Learners should not share personal information such as a home address, phone number, or passwords out loud, and parents should supervise young learners while they use voice features.
Nearby events, books, and other outside content
Event suggestions, book suggestions, and other links come from or point to third parties that Loomyn does not control. We do not endorse, organize, or guarantee them. Event dates, prices, locations, and age suitability can change or be inaccurate, so confirm the details with the organizer before you go, and supervise learners attending any event.
Topics and interests you provide
When you request a lesson or add interests, you keep whatever rights you have in what you type. You give Loomyn a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that input to create, check, and improve lessons and to run Loomyn.
- Keep requests appropriate for school-age learners. Loomyn checks topics and interests and may decline one or suggest alternatives.
- Do not include personal information about yourself or anyone else, such as full names, addresses, or private details, in a lesson topic.
- Lessons can be built around a book you are reading, but Loomyn teaches about books rather than reproducing them. Do not ask Loomyn to copy copyrighted text.
Private lessons
A lesson Loomyn generates for you is private by default. It stays with your account and the learners on it, and other families cannot open it.
The Loomyn team can publish a lesson so it is available to all users on the platform. We will email you when we publish a lesson you generated. A published lesson is not shown with your name or your learner's name.
Lessons Loomyn generates, including custom lessons created from your request, are Loomyn's content. If you delete your account, a lesson you generated may remain in Loomyn without being linked to you.
Our content and your license to use it
Loomyn, including the lessons, illustrations, narration, practice problems, worksheets, activities, curriculum, software, and branding, is owned by Loomyn and its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. While your account is in good standing, we give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Loomyn for your household's own learning. That includes printing worksheets and activities for learners in your household. You may not sell, publish, redistribute, or use Loomyn content in a commercial class or program without our written permission.
Acceptable use
When using Loomyn, do not:
- Use it to create or share content that is harmful, hateful, sexual, violent, unlawful, or inappropriate for children.
- Try to get around topic and interest checks, plan limits, or the voice tutor's focus on the lesson, including by tricking the AI into ignoring its instructions.
- Access another person's account or learner profile without permission, or impersonate anyone.
- Scrape, copy, or download content in bulk, or use bots or scripts to generate lessons or access Loomyn.
- Use Loomyn content to train or build AI models or a competing product.
- Reverse engineer, probe, disrupt, or overload Loomyn or its security measures.
- Use Loomyn in a way that breaks any law or harms another person.
Feedback
If you rate a lesson, report a mistake, or send us ideas, we may use that feedback to improve Loomyn without any obligation to you.
Third-party services
Loomyn relies on outside providers for hosting, file storage, email, payments, and AI, as described in our Privacy Policy. Their services may occasionally be unavailable or change, which can affect Loomyn features.
Suspension and closing your account
You can stop using Loomyn at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing support@loomynlearn.com. Parents can remove a learner from their account at any time.
We may suspend or close an account, or remove access to a feature, if it breaks these terms, puts learners or other people at risk, creates legal exposure for Loomyn, or goes unpaid. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close a paid account without cause, we will refund the unused part of the current billing period.
The sections on private lessons, our content, feedback, disclaimers, limits on liability, indemnity, and disputes continue to apply after an account is closed.
Disclaimers
Loomyn is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise that Loomyn will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every lesson will generate successfully or on a particular schedule.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Loomyn will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or educational outcomes, arising from your use of Loomyn. Our total liability for any claim about Loomyn is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim or $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Indemnity
If you break these terms or the law while using Loomyn, you agree to cover the reasonable costs, including legal fees, of claims brought against Loomyn by others as a result.
Disputes
If you have a concern, please email us first at support@loomynlearn.com so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve it within 60 days, either of us may bring the dispute in the state courts located in Fulton County, Georgia, or the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Atlanta Division, and you and Loomyn agree to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Loomyn changes. We will update the effective date above, and for significant changes we will let you know by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Loomyn after an update means you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel your plan and stop using Loomyn.
General
These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Loomyn about the service. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part of these terms right away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your account or these terms to someone else without our permission. We may transfer them as part of a merger, sale, or similar business change.
